Serenade Project DC Initial Plan and 2-Years Update
November 19, 2025The IANUS project is an initiative funded by the European Union under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), aimed at carrying out a comprehensive analysis of all MSCA-funded projects under Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. Its goal is to generate solid, evidence-based insights to improve future European research policies by identifying trends, outcomes, and the overall impact of the programme.
One of the challenges identified by IANUS is that, unlike MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, detailed information about the individual research projects of fellows within Doctoral Networks is not publicly available. For this reason, the European Research Executive Agency (REA) has requested direct collaboration from network coordinators — including the SERENADE project.
In this context, SERENADE will contribute by providing essential information about each recruited researcher (DC), including the title and description of their individual research project, as well as contact details for the fellow and their supervisor. This information will ensure that our work is properly represented, that our fellows are included in future studies, and that IANUS can develop open tools to map scientific trends across Europe.
All information will be treated confidentially, used exclusively for analytical purposes, and deleted once the project is completed. SERENADE’s contribution is key to ensuring a complete and accurate evaluation of the impact of Doctoral Networks within the MSCA programme.
