New progress in the development of tools for material classification
October 29, 2026The SERENADE project will be presented at Innovalia 2026, where project partners will offer an interactive demonstration showcasing how sensing technologies, food science and data interpretation can work together to better understand food freshness and help reduce food waste.
During the session, attendees will discover how food changes during storage, how these changes can be detected through sensor technologies, and how data can be transformed into actionable information for consumers and other stakeholders along the food value chain.
Rather than a traditional technical presentation, the SERENADE team will guide the audience through a live and engaging journey from food science to sensing and data interpretation, illustrating the interdisciplinary approach that characterises the project.
The showcase reflects SERENADE’s ambition to develop innovative solutions that combine advanced sensors, sustainable materials and smart data analysis to support more sustainable food storage and reduce unnecessary food waste.
We look forward to meeting colleagues, researchers and innovation enthusiasts at Innovalia and sharing the latest developments from the project.
