Serenade Project: Smarter Freshness Monitoring
October 26, 2026Within the framework of the SERENADE project, PhD researcher Ahmad Farid Ehsan continues to make progress in his research through the development of new tools focused on material analysis and classification.
One of the latest outcomes of his work is the development of an open-source tool for the classification and regression of plastics and filler materials, based on FTIR analysis (Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy). This solution facilitates the study and identification of different materials based on their spectral characteristics, providing an accessible resource for researchers and professionals working in this field.
The tool is available online and has been designed as an open resource, encouraging its use, further development and application in future research. It also includes the SERENADE project logo and a direct link to the project website, helping to increase the visibility of the research carried out within SERENADE.
This development represents another step forward in Ahmad Farid Ehsan’s research and in the creation of solutions aimed at improving the characterisation, classification and understanding of materials in line with the objectives of the SERENADE project.
